Rules:

The Academy observes the “Right to Information (Regulation of Fee & Cost) Rules, 2005 and Delhi High Court Rules”, as notified by the Govt. of India on this behalf.

Procedure:

Application for obtaining information under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the said Act shall be accompanied by a fee of Rs. Ten only by way of cash against proper receipt or by Demand Draft or Bankers Cheque or Indian Postal Order in favor of DDO, Delhi Judicial Academy and payable at Dwarka, New Delhi.

Organization

Delhi Judicial Academy is an academy for providing judicial education and training to judicial officers. Delhi Judicial Academy is Located in Integrated Complex for Delhi Judicial Academy & National Law University Delhi, Sector 14, Dwarka, New Delhi and sharing its premises with the National Law University Premises.(Timings 10:00 AM to 5:00PM)

How to Reach

The Delhi Judicial Academy is located at Integrated Complex for Delhi Judicial Academy & National Law University Delhi, Sector-14, Dwarka, and New Delhi. One can access it by public mode of transports like metro of blue line, bus, taxi, auto etc. Sector-14 Metro Station is nearest Metro Station which is situated at a short distance. The place is also near the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Build Up Structure

The Delhi Judicial Academy is located in Sector- 14, Dwarka, New Delhi covering an area.  It functions from a six storied building. The basic structure provides for one seminar hall having seating capacity of 52 participants, one conference hall having seating capacity of 100 participants, dining hall having capacity of 150 people, two resource persons lounge and two participants lounge.There are four meeting rooms having capacity of 15 people.

Academic Branch

Research Wing: 

Research Wing is located on the Second floor of the building. The Research Wing is room for Law Researchers. There are four Law researchers responsible for making study material for the conferences.

Training Wing: 

Training Branch is located on the third floor of the building. The training branch is responsible for the organizing the Conference(s)/ Training(s).

Accounts Branch

Accounts branch is located on the Fourth floor of the building.  

The Accounts Branch is responsible for preparation of all the Pay & Allowances of the Employees and the Employer.

Administration Branch

The Administration Branch located on the Fifth Floor of the Building and deals with the functions related to the administration of the Court Complex and the employees.    

PIO/ RTI Section:

The PIO/ RTI cell exists at Fifth floor of the building.  All the RTI applications are disposed of by the Public Information Officer.

Care Taking Branch

Care taking is responsible for maintaining and cleaning building of Delhi Judicial Academy.

 LIBRARY

Library is presently functional at the Second Floor of the Delhi Judicial Academy. Judicial officers can access all the reference Books, Journals, Bare Acts, Swamy’s Books, General books, Law Journals, Law Software’s etc.  Maintenance and Issuance of Books, Bare Acts, Swamys’ Books, General books, Law Journals, Law Software’s, Library Software. Binding of Law Journals, Purchasing of Newspapers and Magazines.

CLUB HOUSE:

Club House is in separate building near the Academy. It is for Recreational Activities. Though it is still in progress but it will be functional soon.

GUEST HOUSE:

There are 24 Guest Houses which is also available for Judicial Officers on sharing basis, basically for those who comes from out of station.

FACULTY HOUSES:

There are 12 Faculty Houses on 1st, 2nd , 3rd floor (six type IV and six type III) for Delhi Judicial Officers.

ESSENTIAL STAFF HOUSES:

There are 4 Essential Houses staff available for staff members of Delhi Judicial Academy.

CHAIRPERSON'S RESIDENCE:

One independent double storey residential house is for the Chairperson of the Delhi Judicial Academy.

VIP GUEST HOUSE:

A VIP Guest House is also available and it is commonly   used by NLU and DJA.

JUDICIAL HOSTEL:

Judicial Hostel is for trainee officers of Delhi Judicial Academy

ATM:

UCO Banks’ ATM is located at the Main Gate.

HDFC Banks’ located on Ground Floor in the Canteen.

PARKING:

Basement parking for the Staff and Judicial Officers has been provided.

DISPENSARY:

Dispensary of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi is situated 500 meters from complex whose timing is 8:00 am. Till 2:00 p.m.
